Profile

After graduating from university, Shihomi worked in sales and product management at a retail company. After that, she became a Japanese language teacher and started her career at a Japanese language school for foreign exchange students.

As she gained experience, she became more interested in Japanese lessons for expats / international residents and started working at Coto. Shihomi teaches mainly business lessons at companies and intermediate to advanced classes. She likes to conveys to her students a wide range of knowledge beyond just language, including Japanese culture and business manners.

I never want to miss out on the right timing for talking to a student, I want all of my students to experience the satisfaction of feeling that they able to have a conversation!”

It makes me very happy when my students find opportunities to engage in conversation during my lessons, and to also have the confidence to challenge themselves outside of the classroom as well.
