From Kamakura City. Studied international political science at Waseda University. Research for the European Community. After graduating from Waseda, engaged in multilateral trade in the Oil and Gas industry with a general trading company. After that I met a Japanese language teacher and was fascinated, and then became a Japanese teacher myself. I teach from beginner level up to intermediate and advanced Japanese – with a focus on business Japanese, speaking and conversation skills.

A message from Shigeru / His Philosophy

Favorite Japanese Words：「人(ひと)の心(こころ)の痛み(いたみ)を知る(しる)」= To understand the emotional pain of others. No matter how great, successful, rich or powerful a person is, if he/she cannot understand other people’s emotional pain, that person is not a qualified human being. This is my personal belief.
